Skin Allergies & Treatments

by Lisel Torgerson

Skin allergies are the most common problem seen by dermatologists, and one of the most debilitating problems experienced by people.

The topic of allergies has become common in our lives, and certainly the majority of population had dealt with it, but do you really know what an allergy is?

An allergy is an abnormal response by a person's immune system against a normally harmless substance. A person without allergies will not react against this substance, but when a person who is allergic encounters the trigger, the body reacts by releasing chemicals which cause allergy symptoms.

It is known that allergies are disorders of the immune system. Most allergic reactions are a result of an immune system that fights against a "false alarm." When a harmless substance such as dust, mold, or pollen is encountered by a person who is allergic to that substance, the immune system may react dramatically, by releasing antibodies that "attack" the allergen. The consequence of an allergen entering a receptive person's body may include wheezing, itching, and other similar symptoms.

Symptoms

A person with allergy problem may develop the following allergies and symptoms: Contact dermatitis, which is quite harmless for most people, symptoms such as redness, blisters, inflammation, and scaling are developed. Urticaria (Hives), its rash consists of circular, raised welts on the skin that are usually itchy and occur in batches. Hives can vary in size, and can be caused by medication, foods, and insect bites. Eczema is a skin condition characterized by itching and a red rash. Eczema is actually dermatitis that is in advanced, with symptoms such as blisters, scabbing, oozing, and discoloration.

Often, people avoid allergies taking precautionary measures; this is accomplished through the avoidance of allergic triggers. However, you cannot always avoid them. Allergies are treated with medications and/or immunotherapy. There are numerous medications at hand to treat allergies, depending on the type of allergy a person acquires. While medications are very effective, they do nothing to change a person's underlying allergic disease. To avoid most skin allergies it is advised to use moisturizers such as natural skin balms daily to hydrate and soften skin, and reduce itching. When washing dishes or clothing use soapless cleansers or non-alkaline soaps, wear gloves, and don't allow your hands to be wet all the time.

Allergies have several symptoms, and the most common medications used to treat them are antihistamines. Antihistamines provide cure for allergy symptoms but can have side effects of drowsiness and sedation.

Apart from the allergic diseases named above, people can also develop angioedema (swelling), and hand dermatitis. Therefore, it is advised to use Bio Balm to relieve the symptoms of allergies. This balm includes a natural compound that dissolves damaged and abnormal tissues, triggers skin regeneration, and is a successful antioxidant; with powerful anti-inflammatory, anti-oxidant and anti-irritant effects. This dry skin balm is a deep moisturizer that rescue, repair and restore sensitive, dry, and irritated skin back to health and vitality. It nourishes and protects your skin from the effects of allergies. If you suffer from them you might consider a natural balm for eczema cure, because it is made only with natural ingredients. You can use it as an atopic eczema treatment balm too. There is simply nothing like this on the market and you will really like it. The solution to your problem is at hand!
