The Benefits Microdermabrasion Can Have for You

by Sara Kitch

Acne scars, fine wrinkles and sunspots are all skin conditions that can happen to anyone. It is difficult to want to accept any of these, which is where there comes good news. Microdermabrasion treatments have a proven track record at alleviating these skin conditions.

What Is Microdermabrasion?

Microdermabrasion consists of a light abrasion that will partially or completely remove the dead outermost surface of the skin, the stratum corneum. It is performed at day spas, doctors' offices, and can even take place in the privacy of your own home

The Three Different Applications of Microdermabrasion

Crystal Microdermabrasion

Crystal Microdermabrasion systems are the traditional treatment of choice. This procedure involves using a special, hand-held device that blasts a high speed flow of aluminum oxide microcrystals onto the surface of the skin. These microcrystals are what cause the exfoliation process. At the same time another part of the device is vacuuming dead skin cells, dirt and used crystals. Two aspects to this method help significantly. The microcrystals have an irregular shape that makes them very effective abraders and their component of aluminum oxide is the second hardest mineral after diamonds.

Diamond Microdermabrasion

In this procedure a disposable or reusable diamond tipped wand runs across the surface of the skin as the abrading agent.. The advantage for this method is it takes out the possibility of free flying crystals inadvertently hitting and damaging sensitive areas of the face. The tipped wands come in different shapes and sizes to make a more precise application to needed parts of the face. The negative is that both these procedures require that the patient attends a medical clinic or day spa for at least 6 to 12 sessions. These appointments last up to an hour and the price tag can reach up to a thousand dollars. Fortunately a cheaper and more time efficient skin microdermabrasion treatment is out.

At Home Microdermabrasion

Skin resurfacing products have a new development in that now exists a microdermabrasion cream that can be used from home. In particular if the cream is made of all natural ingredients, it can produce long lasting results on top of being easy to apply. A microdermabrasion cream abrades the surface of the skin using tiny particles to leave a 'polished' look to your face after its application. It works by incrementally removing a scarred or discolored skin surface with repeated use. The enhancement of the surface skin cell turnover and the collagen and elastin self replenishment are two of its most effective microdermabrasion results.

A microdermabrasion skin cream called BIOSKINEXFOL has all natural biological skin regenerating activators that further stimulate new skin cells to replace the old and damaged ones. Its special ingredient is snail serum (Helix Aspersa Muller). Its properties and molecular structures that are very similar to human skin allow its regenerating effects to be replicated on us. BIOSKINEXFOL is therefore the perfect microdermabrasion cream to both wash away the old and damaged skin surface while simultaneously help to regenerate healthy skin cells.
